Day 3

Going Where the People Are

Colquitt Baptist Church

Room to Grow

“When the people won’t come to you, you go to the people.” That was Pastor Robert Green’s plan as he led Colquitt Baptist Church to move from Mira, Louisiana, to a new location in Vivian, Louisiana.

Colquitt Baptist’s building in Mira offered inadequate space to grow and the town’s population was declining. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Baptist Church in Vivian was disbanding and had given their facility to their local association. Soon, it became clear that God was working behind the scenes to facilitate a new Great Commission Outpost! Pastor Green’s prayer to move closer to the people he served was being answered.

Through help from the Northwest Louisiana Baptist Association, the Baptist Bible Fellowship, and gifts from the Georgia Barnette Louisiana Missions Offering, Colquitt Baptist Church was successfully replanted and is becoming a thriving congregation as they share the Gospel throughout the community of Vivian!

Your participation in the Georgia Barnette Louisiana Missions Offering helps Colquitt Baptist Church focus on their mission of “Evangelizing the Lost and Equipping the Saints.”
